四種業 —— 了解業的作用
業依作用可分為：
- 令生業：讓我們投生到下一世及在一世繼續產生果報的業。可以是善或不善。
- 支助業：支助令生業延長產生善報或惡報。可以是善或不善。
- 阻礙業：阻礙令生業的業，可縮減令生業的善惡報。可以是善或不善。
- 毀壞業：可以毀壞或終止弱業，不令弱業繼續產生果報。可以是善或不善。
依成熟次序可分為：
- 重業：很強的業，必定會產生下一世的結生，沒有任何其它的業可以阻止它。在善的方面是禪那。不善的方面是屬於五逆罪（殺父、殺母、殺阿羅漢、出佛生血及破和合僧）和不能改變的邪見。
- 慣行業/習慣業：習慣性長造的善或惡業。
- 臨終業：在臨死之前所憶起或所造之業。
- 昔作業：已作、已說、已想的業，不屬於上述三種的業。在沒有上述三種的業時，這種業會決定下一世投生到哪裡。

20190902 西雅圖「身念住」禪一圓滿，這次我們最小的學員才七歲半。
We had a wonderful one day retreat on the Mindfulness of the Body in Seattle, and also an amazing and diligent young student, Siya, who’s only seven and half year old.

今早禪舍住眾出坡成果：一個茶罐架，一個書架。由從Costco資源回收來的小木箱，經拔釘、打磨、裝釘而成。
During this morning’s chore time, we made a tea jar shelf and a book shelf out of some recycled wooden boxes from Costco. The crown staples were pulled out, edges sanded smooth, and the rest is the art of assembly.
